AREF SEPHER

Aref, an Iranian Food and Health graduate, is pursuing a PhD in smart agriculture at TESAF Department. With a background in agricultural engineering, he focuses on innovative food systems. Aref aims to become a respected professional in both industry and academia, leveraging Food and Health's interdisciplinary approach. His goal is to make a lasting impact on smart agriculture and address global food challenges, whether through developing AgTech solutions or educating future agricultural engineers.    

                                        

FARID SALIMI SHOJAEI

Farid, an Iranian Food and Health graduate from the University of Padova, excelled in his studies, graduating with top grades. He enjoyed Padova's vibrant atmosphere and gained practical experience through a hospital internship. With a background in nutrition and a focus on obesity research, Farid has applied for a PhD at Virginia University, USA. His goal is to become a researcher, developing strategies to reduce obesity and address global health issues. Farid's combination of academic excellence, practical experience, and determination positions him well for a successful career in nutrition and health science.  

 

JONATHAN NYARKO OBLONI

Jonathan, from Ghana, chose the Food and Health programme at the University of Padova for its interdisciplinary approach. He believes this comprehensive education enhances employability in the food science and nutrition sectors. Jonathan enjoyed Padova's rich history and vibrant student life, which complemented his academic experience. Inspired by his studies, he aspires to become a researcher in food and nutrition, aiming to contribute to advancements that could improve global health outcomes.

  

VASANTHA PALANIAPPAN

Vasantha, an Indian food scientist, enhanced her career through studies at the University of Padova. With prior experience as a food technologist, she chose Padova for its supportive professors and comprehensive Food and Health programme. A highlight was her one-year internship at the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), deepening her understanding of food regulation. Vasantha's combined experiences in industry, academia, and regulatory bodies have shaped her career aspirations, focusing on food safety, quality, and innovation in research and development.

 
  

IRINA VOLOSHINA

Irina, a Russian Food and Health graduate, transitioned from dentistry in Moscow to pursue international studies. As a Food and Health student, she won the Mobility Window programme to study at Monash University in Australia, a life-changing experience. Her journey through the University of Padova and Monash University broadened her horizons and global perspective on health and nutrition. Irina developed a passion for personal growth, mindset development, and coaching, aligning with her academic pursuits. Her story exemplifies how embracing new opportunities can lead to unexpected and rewarding paths, inspiring others to pursue their dreams through education and international experiences.

 
 

MARIIA MIASNIKOVA

Maria, a Russian gastroenterologist and dietitian specializing in bariatric surgery, enhanced her career through studies at the University of Padova. Attracted by its rich medical history, she excelled academically and expanded her professional network. Maria learned Italian and embraced the local culture, falling in love with Padova's vibrant environment. The Food and Health programme's interdisciplinary approach impressed her, connecting eight departments for comprehensive nutrition and health education. She plans to create a holistic obesity management department in her Russian medical center, applying her new knowledge and experiences. Maria's journey in Padova has broadened her horizons professionally and culturally, positioning her to make a significant impact in obesity management and bariatric care.

 
 

ADIBA AKRAM


Adiba's passion for food industry R&D began while studying Food and Health at Unipd. Her academic achievements include a published thesis paper. She participated in the ICPU programme in Sydney and an Erasmus course in Innsbruck, focusing on vegan cheese development. After graduation, Adiba completed an Erasmus traineeship at the UK's National Center of Excellence for Food Engineering, working on upscaling vegan cheese production. These experiences led to her current role as a Research Associate in Food Engineering in Abu Dhabi, where she continues innovating in plant-based alternatives. Adiba's journey showcases how international experiences and specialized training can foster a successful R&D career.
